Cross-user script execution via unescaped stock location
Published Apr 7, 2026 · Updated Apr 7, 2026
Stored XSS in Open Source Point of Sale before 3.4.3 allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript in another user's browser. The /config/saveLocations endpoint stores unescaped stock_location values, and app/Views/employees/form.php renders them without output encoding. A valid account can plant the payload, but execution requires another authenticated user to open the new-employee interface, enabling in-session actions, interface defacement, phishing, or credential capture.
