Cross-origin clipboard disclosure via omitted paste checks
Published Mar 11, 2026 · Updated Mar 11, 2026
Insufficient policy enforcement in Google Chrome's Clipboard component before 146.0.7680.71 allows remote attackers to leak cross-origin data. ClipboardHostImpl::ReadAvailableCustomAndStandardFormats and ReadUnsanitizedCustomFormat read clipboard data without calling IsRendererPasteAllowed. A crafted HTML page must execute through an already compromised renderer; the bypass exposes clipboard content without reported write or service-interruption impact.
