Authenticated file read via unchecked include path
Published May 20, 2026 · Updated May 20, 2026
Path traversal in render_include in Frappe Framework before 15.105.0 and 16.15.0 allows remote authenticated users to read server files. The function passed a script-report include path to get_app_path and open without canonicalizing it or ensuring the resolved file remained under the selected application root. An authenticated user able to create a Script Report can supply parent-directory segments and retrieve readable local files; no file write or code execution is demonstrated.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
