Authenticated file read via unconstrained template paths
Published Apr 7, 2026 · Updated Apr 7, 2026
Path traversal in OrangeHRM Starter 5.0 through 5.8 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary local files via template paths. The email template loader resolves an attacker-influenced template path without confining the result to the intended plugins directory. High-privilege authentication and control of the template path are required; successful exploitation exposes files readable by the application process.
