Database compromise via unescaped property fields
Published Apr 7, 2026 · Updated Apr 7, 2026
SQL injection in ChurchCRM before 7.1.0 allows remote authenticated users with MenuOptions access to read and modify database data. PropertyTypeEditor.php passes Name and Description POST fields through sanitizeText(), which strips HTML but leaves SQL metacharacters, then concatenates them into raw INSERT and UPDATE statements. A non-admin staff account with the MenuOptions role is sufficient; successful injection exposes password hashes and other records or alters and deletes database rows.
