Session hijacking via unescaped social profile fields
Published Apr 7, 2026 · Updated Apr 7, 2026
Stored XSS in ChurchCRM before 7.1.0 allows remote authenticated users with EditSelf permission to steal profile viewers' session cookies. PersonView.php renders stored Facebook, LinkedIn, and X values into HTML attributes without escaping quotes after sanitizeText removes only tags. A victim must view the attacker's profile; chained autofocus and onfocus handlers then exfiltrate the victim's cookie and enable session impersonation.
