CVE-2026-39311Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Server code execution via unsanitized SVG attachments

Published May 20, 2026 · Updated May 20, 2026

Stored XSS in SVG attachment handling in Trilium Notes before 0.102.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute Node.js code. The image route returns unsanitized SVG with its executable MIME type while CSP is disabled, letting same-origin script steal a CSRF token and call /api/script/exec. The attack requires a privileged upload and an authenticated user to view the SVG; successful execution can read or alter notes and interrupt the server.
