Account takeover via unencoded field rendering
Published Aug 26, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Stored XSS in Cockpit CMS 2.13.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to hijack accounts through crafted collection fields. The tag and select field renderers pass stored values to Vue's v-html sink in collection items.php without output encoding. Content-write API access or an editor session is required, and execution occurs when an administrator or editor views the affected item list, exposing session and CSRF tokens for replay.
