Administrative user changes via forged POST requests
Published Jun 9, 2026 · Updated Jun 9, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in SemCms 5.0 allows remote attackers to alter users through a crafted administrative POST request. The /admin/semcms_user.php endpoint accepts user-management requests from an authenticated browser without verifying that the administrator intentionally initiated them. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to visit attacker-controlled content, after which the forged request runs with that administrator's privileges.
