Sandboxed code execution via crafted HTML
Published Mar 12, 2026 · Updated Mar 12, 2026
Code execution in V8 in Google Chrome before 146.0.7680.75 allows remote attackers to run arbitrary code inside the sandbox via crafted HTML. Google describes the defect only as an inappropriate implementation in V8; the underlying operation on attacker-controlled input remains restricted. Opening a crafted page is required, and execution remains inside Chrome's sandbox unless combined with a separate escape.
