Unauthenticated code execution via callable query operators
Published Apr 29, 2026 · Updated Apr 29, 2026
Code injection in Cockpit CMS 2.13.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute system commands through crafted API filters. The MongoLite query evaluator accepts user-controlled $func, $fn, $f, $where, and direct callback values as callables instead of limiting them to anonymous closures. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation runs commands with the privileges of the Cockpit server process.
