Subscriber-level stored XSS via unchecked AJAX settings
Published May 27, 2026 · Updated May 27, 2026
Stored XSS in Livemesh SiteOrigin Widgets 3.9.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through plugin settings. The lsow_admin_ajax handler accepts a valid nonce without checking capabilities, then insufficiently sanitizes settings values before storing and rendering them. Administrators or frontend visitors trigger the stored payload when loading affected pages, so Subscriber-level access is sufficient to run script in other users' browsers.
