Subscriber-level stored XSS via unchecked AJAX settings
Published May 27, 2026 · Updated May 27, 2026
Stored XSS in Livemesh Addons for WPBakery Page Builder 3.9.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. The lvca_admin_ajax handler accepts a valid nonce without checking capabilities, stores insufficiently sanitized settings, and renders them without safe escaping. Subscriber-level access is sufficient; the stored script executes for administrators opening plugin settings or users visiting affected frontend content.
