CVE-2026-38948Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Administrator takeover via unsanitized SVG upload

Published Apr 28, 2026 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

Stored XSS in FUEL CMS 1.5.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through crafted SVG asset uploads. The asset upload workflow stores SVG files without neutralizing embedded script, so the code runs when an administrator opens or previews the uploaded file. Low-privileged access is sufficient, but administrator interaction is required; the script can read the profile CSRF token and change administrator credentials.
