Root command execution via WAN parameter injection
Published Jul 30, 2026 · Updated Jul 30, 2026
Command injection in Cudy TR and WR router firmware allows attackers to execute arbitrary commands as root through net.set_wan. The handler stores unvalidated WAN parameters in UCI, and downstream network scripts interpolate them into command arguments. TR1200 2.4.15, TR3000 2.4.21, WR300 2.4.25, WR1200 2.4.23, WR1300 2.4.22, WR1500 2.3.10, WR3000 2.4.19, WR3600 2.3.16, and WR6500 2.3.15 are affected; CISA scores the path as unauthenticated, while public reproduction on TR3000 requires a valid web session.
