Unauthenticated configuration disclosure via unvalidated host tokens
Published Apr 28, 2026 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Authentication bypass in Gravitl Netmaker before 1.5.0 allows remote attackers to impersonate hosts and read network configuration. VerifyHostToken in logic/jwts.go accepts a non-null result from jwt.ParseWithClaims without checking token.Valid or the parse error. A structurally valid JWT signed with any key is sufficient to retrieve password hashes, MQTT credentials, and WireGuard peer data.
