Restricted file disclosure via malformed upload parameters
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 16, 2026
Improper input validation in affected GitLab CE/EE releases allows remote authenticated users to read restricted server files. The Terraform state upload path accepts crafted parameters without adequate validation, but GitLab has not disclosed the exact parameter or unsafe operation. Project-level permissions are required, and GitLab also reports denial of service under otherwise unspecified conditions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=18.2.7 <19.1.8
- Affected versionversion=19.2 <19.2.6
