Stored DOM XSS via decoded image attribute
Published Sep 5, 2026 · Updated Sep 7, 2026
Stored DOM-based XSS in Elegant Themes Divi 4.27.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via image_src. custom.unified.js reads the browser-decoded data-image value and concatenates it into HTML passed to jQuery.after() without re-escaping. Contributor-level access permits payload storage, and the script executes in a visitor's browser when the affected carousel thumbnail is hovered.
