Stored XSS via unescaped Skype URL attribute
Published Sep 3, 2026 · Updated Sep 3, 2026
Stored XSS in Elegant Themes Divi 4.27.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through the Social Media Follow module. The skype_url value bypasses esc_url_raw() and esc_url(), while sanitize_text_field() preserves quotes before insertion into a single-quoted href attribute. Contributor-level access is required to store the payload, which executes in a visitor's browser when the visitor interacts with the injected element.
