Unauthenticated service interruption via unbounded chunk allocation
Published May 8, 2026 · Updated May 8, 2026
Denial of service in fohrloop dash-uploader 0.1.0 through 0.7.0a2 allows remote attackers to crash upload services via crafted requests. The BaseHttpRequestHandler._post method creates a chunk-path list from an unbounded resumableTotalChunks value, treats zero chunks as complete, and never enforces max_file_size on the server. No authentication or user interaction is required; memory exhaustion can terminate the process, incomplete uploads can fill disk space, and zero-chunk requests can truncate files.
