Authenticated remote code execution via API file upload
Published Jun 15, 2026 · Updated Jun 15, 2026
Remote code execution in Bludit CMS before 3.18.4 allows attackers with a valid API token to execute arbitrary server code. The POST /api/files/{key} handler in bl-plugins/api/plugin.php skips its write-permission check, while uploadFile accepts the supplied filename without extension filtering. An enabled API Plugin and a valid API token are required; a read-only token suffices to place a PHP script in a web-accessible upload path for execution.
