Authenticated form disclosure via unchecked shortcode
Published Apr 1, 2026 · Updated Apr 1, 2026
Missing authorization in Contact Form Entries 1.4.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read stored form submissions. The entries_shortcode() function renders database-backed entry fields through a front-end shortcode without checking the caller's WordPress capability. Contributor-level access is sufficient to extract all submissions, including names, email addresses, and phone numbers; no data modification is reported.
