Arbitrary code execution via unrestricted Velocity introspection
Published Aug 17, 2026 · Updated Aug 18, 2026
Server-side template injection in XDocReport 0.9.2 through 2.2.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via crafted Velocity expressions. The Velocity configuration selects UberspectImpl without restricting reflection, so expressions can reach Class.forName and Runtime.exec. Exploitation requires an application to process an attacker-controlled document template with the Velocity engine.
