Authenticated code execution via unchecked mit_ssid formatting
Published Mar 9, 2026 · Updated Mar 9, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda FH1202 1.2.0.14(408) allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted mit_ssid value. The formWrlsafeset handler for /goform/AdvSetWrlsafeset passes the user-controlled mit_ssid value to sprintf without a length check, overflowing the local stack buffer s__1. Low-privileged access to the router web interface is required; successful exploitation can execute code in the httpd process or crash that service.
