Device reboot via missing CSRF validation
Published Jul 10, 2026 · Updated Jul 10, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in ST Engineering iDirect terminals 4.5.2.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to reboot devices. The /api/reboot handler accepts cookie-authenticated POST requests without validating a CSRF token, and the session cookie lacks SameSite protection. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to visit attacker-controlled content; each forged request immediately reboots the terminal and drops the satellite link, while repetition sustains the interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
