Authenticated memory corruption via oversized ping parameters
Published Mar 9, 2026 · Updated Mar 9, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda i3 1.0.0.6(2204) allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via crafted ping settings. The formSetAutoPing handler accepts oversized ping1 or ping2 values from /goform/setAutoPing into stack storage without enforcing a length bound. Low-privileged web-management access reaches the handler; public proof-of-concept requests establish the overflow trigger but not reliable code execution.
