CVE-2026-37980Network attack vector

Stored browser script execution via HTML-only alias escaping

Published Apr 14, 2026 · Updated Apr 14, 2026

Stored XSS in Red Hat build of Keycloak's organization selection page allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in viewers' browsers. select-organization.ftl places organization.alias inside an onclick handler after HTML escaping, but browser entity decoding exposes the value to the JavaScript engine without context-specific escaping. Exploitation requires manage-realm or manage-organizations permission, the Organizations feature, and a user viewing the selection page; executed script can access that user's session context and initiate account actions.
