Arbitrary code execution via stale view pointers
Published Apr 1, 2026 · Updated Apr 1, 2026
Use-after-free in Foxit PDF Editor and Foxit PDF Reader allows attackers to execute arbitrary code when users open crafted PDFs. A zoom-triggered page change destroys the original view object but leaves cached pointers that the renderer later dereferences. Opening a crafted PDF is required, and the documented outcome includes an application crash with potential arbitrary code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
