Application crash via unchecked stamp appearance object
Published Apr 1, 2026 · Updated Apr 1, 2026
Null pointer dereference in Foxit PDF Editor and PDF Reader 2025.3 and earlier allows attackers to crash the application via a crafted PDF. The stamp-annotation parser accesses the appearance resource after a missing AP entry leaves the associated object null, without a null or validity check. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted document; successful exploitation terminates the affected desktop process without reported data disclosure or modification.
