Authentication bypass via unescaped username query
Published Apr 17, 2026 · Updated Apr 17, 2026
SQL injection in the index.php login form of CodeAstro Simple Attendance Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to gain administrative access. The username POST value is concatenated directly into a MySQL SELECT query without escaping or a prepared statement, so a comment payload removes the password condition. No account or user interaction is required; successful exploitation opens the administrative panel and permits access to and modification of attendance records.
