Authenticated code execution via unchecked cmdinput copy
Published Mar 8, 2026 · Updated Mar 8, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda F453 firmware 1.0.0.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute code or crash the router. The formexeCommand handler passes the user-controlled cmdinput value to strcpy without checking its length, overflowing the stack buffer named s. Access to the HTTP management endpoint and a valid low-privilege session are required; successful exploitation can take control of the device or interrupt routing services.
