Cross-xApp subscription deletion via self-comparison
Published Jun 1, 2026 · Updated Jun 1, 2026
Authorization bypass in FlexRIC 2.0.0 allows remote attackers controlling an xApp to delete other xApps' subscriptions. The eq_xapp_ric_gen_id() predicate in src/ric/iApp/xapp_ric_id.c compares m0->xapp_id with itself instead of m1->xapp_id, so a matching ric_gen_id can resolve across tenants. Exploitation requires multiple xApps to share one RIC and lets one connected xApp remove another xApp's subscriptions.
