Unauthorized email relay via unauthenticated sendfiles endpoint
Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Incorrect access control in Veno File Manager 4.4.9 allows remote attackers to send email through the application's configured SMTP server. The /vfm-admin/ajax/sendfiles.php endpoint accepts attacker-supplied POST parameters and a required header, then invokes the configured mail transport without enforcing authentication. Network access to the endpoint and a configured SMTP server are required; successful requests cause unauthorized email delivery through that server.
