PHP file overwrite via translations update action
Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Arbitrary file write in Veno File Manager Project 4.4.9 allows remote authenticated users to overwrite PHP files through an admin endpoint. The translations update action in /vfm-admin/index.php processes a crafted POST request by writing its data over an arbitrary application PHP file. A Superadmin account and administration-panel access are required; successful exploitation changes server-side application code and enables alteration or interruption of application behavior.
