Arbitrary file deletion via attacker-controlled remove parameter
Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Arbitrary file deletion in Veno File Manager 4.4.9 allows remote authenticated users to remove chosen files through a crafted admin POST request. The translations update handler accepts the remove parameter at /vfm-admin/index.php as the file selected for deletion. Exploitation requires a super-administrator session; deleting the root index.php interrupts the application, while other chosen files can also be removed.
