Unauthenticated command execution via unsandboxed template rendering
Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Server-side template injection in BerriAI LiteLLM 1.82.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute OS commands via /prompts/test. The endpoint passes attacker-controlled dotprompt_content to an unsandboxed jinja2.Environment, which interprets template expressions as executable directives. No credentials or user interaction are required; successful requests run commands with the LiteLLM process's host privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Published CVSS scores
No CVSS assessment is available in this record.
CVSS describes severity. EPSS estimates exploitation probability.
