Remote code execution via unsanitized model output
Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Remote code execution in Agno 2.5.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through prompt injection. PythonTools and ShellTools pass LLM-generated arguments without sanitization to exec(), runpy.run_path(), and subprocess.run(). Exploitation requires an agent configured with these tools to process attacker-influenced content; successful execution runs with the host service's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Published CVSS scores
No CVSS assessment is available in this record.
CVSS describes severity. EPSS estimates exploitation probability.
