Authenticated service interruption via unchecked Profile copy
Published Mar 8, 2026 · Updated Mar 8, 2026
Buffer overflow in UTT HiPER 810G 1.7.7-171114 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service through NTP settings. The /goform/NTP handler passes an oversized Profile value to strcpy at InstPointByIndex_1+48 without checking the destination size when SntpEnable is on. Low-privileged management access and the required NTP parameters are sufficient to reach the copy; the published proof of concept demonstrates a denial-of-service payload.
