Authenticated httpd crash via unbounded language path
Published Mar 8, 2026 · Updated Mar 8, 2026
Buffer overflow in PLANET ICG-2510 1.0_20250811 allows remote authenticated users to crash the web management interface. The sub_40C8E4 function in /usr/sbin/httpd passes the NVRAM language value to sprintf when building lang_pack/%s.js in a 60-byte heap buffer without a length check. An attacker must first alter the language configuration; later access to any management page invokes the function and terminates the web service.
