Administrator compromise via unlimited login attempts
Published Apr 30, 2026 · Updated Apr 30, 2026
Missing brute-force protection in U-SPEED N300 router 1.0.0 allows remote attackers to compromise the administrator account. The /api/login handler accepts repeated password guesses without rate limiting or account lockout after failures. The endpoint requires no credentials but is exposed on the local network; a correct guess grants access to the router management interface.
