Database disclosure via injectable department identifier
Published Apr 13, 2026 · Updated Apr 13, 2026
SQL injection in Sourcecodester Online Thesis Archiving System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read database data via a crafted id parameter. /otas/projects_per_department.php passes the id value into a database query that interprets injected UNION SELECT syntax rather than treating it solely as data. An administrator session is required, and the published demonstration extracts the active database name; no write or service-interruption impact is documented.
