Administrator-session script execution via forged log IP
Published May 11, 2026 · Updated May 11, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in iioter iotgateway 3.0.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to run script in an administrator's browser. GetRemoteIpAddress trusts the X-Forwarded-For header, and the log-record filter stores that value as the IP before the administrative log pages render it without filtering. Exploitation requires an administrator to open the poisoned log record; the resulting script runs with that browser session's access and can read or alter data available to it.
