Authenticated database disclosure via unsanitized book_id parameter
Published Apr 13, 2026 · Updated Apr 13, 2026
SQL injection in Sourcecodester Basic Library System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read database data via book_id. The load_book.php endpoint inserts the book_id query parameter into a database query without neutralizing SQL syntax, allowing a UNION clause to alter the query. An authenticated administrator session is required; the published payload demonstrates database-name disclosure, with no evidence of writes or service interruption.
