Authentication bypass via session cookie path traversal
Published May 19, 2026 · Updated May 19, 2026
Path traversal in the embedded HTTP server of Panabit PAP-XM320 7.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to bypass authentication. A crafted session-cookie value is used unsanitized in a filesystem existence check, so traversal sequences resolve outside the intended session path. No credentials or user interaction are required, and successful exploitation exposes the HTTP server's authenticated functionality.
