Authenticated command execution via eval argument processing
Published May 19, 2026 · Updated May 19, 2026
Command injection in Panabit PAP-XM320 7.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary shell commands. The web management interface passes user-controlled parameters to /usr/sbin/pappiw, whose eval-based argument processing treats them as shell syntax. Access to the management interface and valid authentication are required; successful exploitation runs commands in the helper's execution context.
