Unauthenticated service crash via unbounded strncpy length
Published Jun 9, 2026 · Updated Jun 9, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda W20E 15.11.0.6 allows remote attackers to crash the device via a crafted HTTP request. formAddWebAuthWhiteUser passes an attacker-controlled length derived from the first newline in webAuthWhiteUserInfo to strncpy without bounding it to the temp stack buffer. The web management endpoint requires no authentication, and exploitation interrupts service through a process crash or device instability.
