Unauthenticated service crash via unchecked buffer copy
Published Jun 9, 2026 · Updated Jun 9, 2026
Buffer overflow in Tenda W15E 15.11.0.10 allows remote attackers to crash its web service via a crafted HTTP request. The formAddWebAuthUser handler finds a newline in webAuthUserInfo, then passes the attacker-controlled span to strncpy without limiting it to the fixed-size temp buffer. Unauthenticated network access is sufficient; exploitation interrupts the management service and can destabilize the router.
