Device crash via unbounded picCropName formatting
Published Jun 9, 2026 · Updated Jun 9, 2026
Stack overflow in Tenda G0 15.11.0.5 allows remote attackers to crash the device through a crafted HTTP request. The formCropAndSetWewifiPic function passes the attacker-controlled picCropName value to an unbounded sprintf call that appends .jpg before incorporating the resulting name into an mv command. Exploitation requires network access to the CGI endpoint but no privileges or user interaction, and the documented consequence is a process crash or device instability.
