Service interruption via unchecked CGI index
Published Jun 9, 2026 · Updated Jun 9, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda W3 Wireless Router 1.0.0.3(2204) allows attackers to crash or reboot the device via crafted HTTP input. The formwrlSSIDget CGI handler passes an attacker-controlled index to sprintf for a fixed-size stack buffer without validating its length. A request must reach the web interface with wl_radio set to 0 and an overlong index, triggering memory corruption and service interruption.
