Stored XSS via regex filter bypass
Published Apr 30, 2026 · Updated Apr 30, 2026
Stored XSS in JeeSite 5.15.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run scripts in a recipient's browser via crafted messages. EncodeUtils.java applies an incomplete regex blacklist to msgContent, then the message view renders the surviving HTML with Vue v-html. Message-sending permission and a recipient opening the stored message are required; execution can access same-origin cookies, DOM data, and APIs.
